Here's an opportunity to learn a little more about how echoecho works.
Where can I find out more information about echoecho?

What exactly is echoecho?
Echoecho is the simplest way to answer the world's most-texted question: Where are you? With just one click, you can see where your friends are. Or tell them where you are. For free.
So how does it work?
Simply tap anyone in your address book to say "Where are you?" When they accept, Echoecho shows you a map of where you both are. That's it.
Every time somebody sends you an echo, they are trying to find you. And you will receive a popup notification message. To share your location, you simply reply. And that's it - send echo, reply to echo - echo...echo - you see.
If you're meeting friends, picking someone up, making plans or just curious about where your friend Mr. Late is - just send an echo straight to anyone your address book. It's much faster and much more convenient than calling or texting.
But what if I don't want people knowing my location at all times...
Don't worry. No one ever sees where you are unless you allow them and you can't track other people without their knowledge. So, you're always in control of what you share, when you share it, and with whom you share it.
And, while we're on this topic, we don't track you either.
What if my friends don't have echoecho?
You can invite them to join echoecho right from the app. They don't have to join another social network or anything like that. They just download the app and sign up. But, get this, if they're using Android or Iphone, they can respond to your echo and share their location before even getting echoecho.
How long will I have to wait to hear back from a friend?
It depends. Usually no time at all. As long as it takes to look at their phone, smile when they see your name and hit reply. But there are always occasions when their phone might be off, they might be sneaking in an afternoon nap or working in a coalmine. If you don't hear back as quickly as you'd like, you can send a reminder in echoecho.
Do I get badges and prizes?
Nope, you just get an easier and faster way to spend more physical, real-world time with your friends, family and colleagues. We think that's the best reward of all.
Will it tell me where to go?
You can just follow the red dot to your friend. But if you've set a meeting place (like a restaurant or café) with your friend, we've just added directions so you can get to where you need to be easily.
Is this just for my phone?
No way. We support almost all smartphones (Iphone, Android, Nokia, most Blackberry phones) so that you can keep in touch with all your friends. Windows Mobile is coming soon.
How do I chat with my friends?
Easy. There are two ways to get to chat - you can click on the chat icon next to a friend's name on the map, or just bring up the pop-up by tapping the + by their name in the inbox and selecting chat.
How much does it cost?
The app is free, and it always will be! And echoecho will not charge you anything for sharing your location with friends.
echoecho uses the data services on your mobile. Since most people using smartphones have flat rate data plans - there are no additional charges for data services. (Be advised that in some instances data charges are applicable - e.g. if you are roaming). If you invite a friend to echoecho by SMS, some operators will charge you.
Can I get my friends' location without giving away my own?
No you cannot. The whole idea of echoecho is really about sharing your location. This means that you can ask someone where they are whenever you like - but only when they answer will they know where you are.
Can people send me echoes if my phone is turned of?
Yes they can. Of course you will not receive them until you turn your phone back on.
What will this do to my battery life?
As with most things on your mobile phone - it depends on how much you use it. echoecho has been optimized to maximize battery life - it does not make persistent data connections to server - making it safe to keep running in the background the whole time.
This is awesome - how can I tell my friends about it?
It's super easy to invite anyone to echoecho - just send them an echo! They will receive an SMS from you which will look something like this
"Hey I'm using echoecho to share my location with you. To share your location click here and install echoecho ;)"
They click on the link, install echoecho - and they will immediately receive your message.
